I had this problem a while back.
It wasn't solved then but I was able to get around it.
Now, it's back and getting anything done is near impossible.

XP freezes; that's the only way I know how to describe the problem.
The mouse pointer moves but nothing works. Left or right mouse buttons do nothing.
Right clicking the mouse use to let me do some things like changing desktop. It doesn't any longer.
The icons on the task bar are there but do nothing when clicked on.

This problem comes and goes but the last day or so it stays.
The only way to get around it is to reboot.
Then, within minutes it happens again.

I just ran AVG and Spybot... No problems.

Where do I start looking to solve this problem?

Thanks,
dlw
