Welcome to GTG.

Print out or copy this page to Notepad. Make sure to work through the fixes in the exact order it is mentioned below. If there's anything that you don't understand, ask your question(s) before proceeding with the fixes. You should NOT have any open browsers when you are following the procedures below.

Download VundoFix at http://www.atribune..../click.php?id=4 and save it to your desktop.
- Double-click VundoFix.exe to run it.
- Click the Scan for Vundo button.
- Once it's done scanning, click the Remove Vundo button.
- You will receive a prompt asking if you want to remove the files. Click Yes.
- Once you click yes, your desktop will go blank as it starts removing Vundo.
- When completed, it will prompt that it will reboot your computer. Click OK.
- Post the contents of C:\vundofix.txt here.

NOTE: It is possible that VundoFix encountered a file it could not remove. In this case, VundoFix will run on reboot. Simply follow the above instructions starting from Click the Scan for Vundo button when VundoFix appears upon rebooting.

Uninstall the following via the Add/Remove Panel (Start->Settings->Control Panel->Add/Remove Programs) if found:

WinAntiVirus Pro
Crawler

Run a scan in HijackThis. Check each of the following if they still exist and hit 'Fix Checked' after you checked the last one:

R1 - HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main,SearchAssistant = http://www.crawler.c...spx?tb_id=60002
R1 - HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main,CustomizeSearch = http://dnl.crawler.c...aspx?TbId=60002
R0 - HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Search,CustomizeSearch = http://dnl.crawler.c...aspx?TbId=60002
O2 - BHO: (no name) - {1CB20BF0-BBAE-40A7-93F4-6435FF3D0411} - C:\PROGRA~1\Crawler\ctbr.dll (file missing)
O3 - Toolbar: (no name) - {4B3803EA-5230-4DC3-A7FC-33638F3D3542} - (no file)
O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [ERS_check] "C:\Program Files\Common Files\WinAntiVirus Pro 2006\ers_startupmon.exe"
O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [DC6_check] "C:\Program Files\Common Files\WinAntiVirus Pro 2006\dc6_startupmon.exe"
O8 - Extra context menu item: Crawler Search - tbr:iemenu
O18 - Protocol: tbr - {4D25FB7A-8902-4291-960E-9ADA051CFBBF} - C:\PROGRA~1\Crawler\ctbr.dll (file missing)

Locate the following Files/Folders and delete them if they exist (if no location given, just do a search for them):

C:\PROGRA~1\Crawler\
C:\Program Files\Common Files\WinAntiVirus Pro 2006\

Restart and run a new HijackThis scan. Save the log file and post it here.

Any improvements?
