Like the title suggests, my computer, which has rarely given me problems, is now starting to become very clogged with processes and whatnot. This causes the computer to not only lag, but lag so slowly that TaskManager could take hours to come up. I might have a malware problem. Thank you for your help. Here is my HJT Log

Welcome to GTG.

Print out or copy this page to Notepad. Make sure to work through the fixes in the exact order it is mentioned below. If there's anything that you don't understand, ask your question(s) before proceeding with the fixes. You should NOT have any open browsers when you are following the procedures below.

Download AVG Anti-Spyware at http://www.ewido.net/en/download/ and install it.
- Locate the icon on the desktop and double-click it to launch the set up program.
- Once the setup is complete you will need run AVG Anti-Spyware and update the definition files.
- On the main screen select the Update icon, then select the Update now link.
- Next select the Start Update button. The update will start and a progress bar will show the updates being installed.
- Once the update has completed select the Scanner icon at the top of the screen, then select the Settings tab.
- Once in the Settings screen click on Recommended actions and then select Quarantine.
- Under Reports, select Automatically generate report after every scan.
- Unselect Only if threats were found.

Close AVG Anti-Spyware. Do not run a scan just yet.

Download ATF Cleaner at http://www.atribune..../click.php?id=1. Don't run it yet.

Download SmitfraudFix at http://siri.urz.free...mitfraudFix.zip and extract the content (a folder named SmitfraudFix) to your desktop. Do not run it yet.

Restart your computer and boot into Safe Mode. If you don't know how, go to http://www.bleepingc...tutorial61.html

Once in Safe Mode, open the SmitfraudFix folder. Double-click on smitfraudfix.cmd and select option #2 - Clean by typing 2 and press Enter to delete infected files. You will be prompted Registry cleaning - Do you want to clean the registry? Answer Yes by typing Y and press Enter in order to remove the desktop background and clean registry keys associated with the infection. The tool will now check if wininet.dll is infected. You may be prompted to replace the infected file (if found). Answer Yes by typing Y and press Enter.

The tool may need to restart your computer to finish the cleaning process. If it doesn't, please restart it manually to get back to Normal Mode. A text file will appear onscreen, with results from the cleaning process. Copy and paste the content of that report into your next reply. The report can also be found at the root of the system drive, usually at C:\rapport.txt

WARNING: Running option #2 on a non infected computer will remove your desktop background.

Double-click ATF-Cleaner.exe to run the program. Under Main choose Select All
Click the Empty Selected button.

If you use Firefox browser click Firefox at the top and choose Select All
Click the Empty Selected button.
NOTE: If you would like to keep your saved passwords, please click No at the prompt.

If you use Opera browser click Opera at the top and choose Select All
Click the Empty Selected button.
NOTE: If you would like to keep your saved passwords, please click No at the prompt.

Click Exit on the Main menu to close the program.

Run a scan in HijackThis. Check each of the following if they still exist and hit Fix checked when ready:

O3 - Toolbar: IE Custom Tools - {41F6170D-6AF8-4188-8D92-9DDAB3C71A78} - C:\Program Files\Online Video Add-on\ictmdl.dll (file
missing)

Delete if found:

C:\Program Files\Online Video Add-on\i

Run AVG Anti-Spyware.
- Select the Scanner icon at the top and then the Scan tab then click on Complete System Scan.
- AVG Anti-Spyware will now begin the scanning process. Be patient as this may take a little time.

Once the scan is complete do the following:
- If you have any infections you will prompted on what action to take. Select Apply all actions.
- Next select the Reports icon at the top.
- Select the Save report as button in the lower left hand of the screen and save it to a text file on your system (make sure to remember where you saved that file, this is important).

Post the rapport.txt, AVG Anti-Spyware report and a new HijackThis log here.

I couldn't do any of the things you asked me in normal mode because everything was running so slow. Too slow to even end unimportant processes via task manager.

Also, the AVG scan didn't yield a report. The scan finished and i clicked Take All Actions, but then there was no report to save.

I did all the steps in Safe Mode because of the slow normal mode. Below are the HJT log and rapport.txt

thanks a lot for your help

The Smitfraudfix report was too big. Post it here again. Remove that huge list of host entries first (I edited your post because that list was too long). It should fix afterwards.

Also do the following:

Download VundoFix at http://www.atribune..../click.php?id=4 and save it to your desktop.
- Double-click VundoFix.exe to run it.
- Click the Scan for Vundo button.
- Once it's done scanning, click the Remove Vundo button.
- You will receive a prompt asking if you want to remove the files. Click Yes.
- Once you click yes, your desktop will go blank as it starts removing Vundo.
- When completed, it will prompt that it will reboot your computer. Click OK.
- Post the contents of C:\vundofix.txt here.

NOTE: It is possible that VundoFix encountered a file it could not remove. In this case, VundoFix will run on reboot. Simply follow the above instructions starting from Click the Scan for Vundo button when VundoFix appears upon rebooting.

Post a new HijackThis log here along with the vundo and smitfraudfix logs.

Please make sure that Word Wrap is turned OFF in Notepad before you post your HijackThis log. As you can see, the formatting it creates (see the log you posted) makes it harder for us to read it. To turn this off, go to Format and make sure Word Wrap is unchecked. Run HijackThis scan again to get the new log. Make sure word wrap is turned off. Copy and paste the log here and Preview it first before posting.

Try not to restart the computer after you post your new HijackThis log until we fix this issue.

Please print the below instructions or copy them to Notepad.

Run a scan in HijackThis. Check each of the following if they still exist and hit 'Fix Checked' after you checked the last one:

O2 - BHO: {6432eeae-4ec5-15ea-c364-1657d58188a1} - {1a88185d-7561-463c-ae51-5ce4eaee2346} - C:\WINDOWS\system32\qxhyofor.dll (file missing)
O2 - BHO: (no name) - {A95B2F3D-F1C6-4F8B-AB58-F416956D5D8A} - C:\WINDOWS\system32\mljgg.dll (file missing)
O2 - BHO: (no name) - {E180F496-8A4B-44E2-9FE0-0364E345DB7F} - C:\WINDOWS\system32\opnoool.dll (file missing)
O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [e032b96b] rundll32.exe "C:\WINDOWS\system32\qqcbvsqv.dll",b
O20 - Winlogon Notify: opnoool - opnoool.dll (file missing)

Locate the following Files/Folders and delete them if they exist (if no location given, just do a search for them):

C:\WINDOWS\system32\qqcbvsqv.dll

1. Download combofix at http://www.techsuppo...Bs/ComboFix.exe or http://download.blee...Bs/ComboFix.exe
2. Double-click combofix.exe & follow the prompts.
3. When finished, it will produce a log for you. Post that log in your next reply.

Note:
Do not click on combofix's window while it's running. That may cause it to stall.

Post your new HijackThis log here. Please don't restart or turn off your computer at this point.

I don't know if you mean from THIS point on to not restart, because the combofix.exe program automatically restarted my computer.

Also, Internet Explorer installed itself on my desktop upon reboot. Every time i open that app(in the past), my computer would freeze, so i switched to firefox. it's just strange that it's back now.

heres the combo log and the newest hjt log

It's just a shortcut to Internet Explorer. Open it now and see if it still crashes...

Do you have VMWare installed? If not, delete this folder:

C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\vsosdk

We can fix a bunch of unnecessary startup programs. That should also help speed things up. Check and fix the below in HijackThis to disable them from running at startup (will save resources):

O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [SunJavaUpdateSched] "C:\Program Files\Java\jre1.6.0_03\bin\jusched.exe"
O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [ISUSScheduler] "C:\Program Files\Common Files\InstallShield\UpdateService\issch.exe" -start
O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [ISUSPM Startup] C:\PROGRA~1\COMMON~1\INSTAL~1\UPDATE~1\ISUSPM.exe -startup
O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [DVDLauncher] "C:\Program Files\CyberLink\PowerDVD\DVDLauncher.exe"
O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [DMXLauncher] C:\Program Files\Dell\Media Experience\DMXLauncher.exe
O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [QuickTime Task] "C:\Program Files\QuickTime\QTTask.exe" -atboottime
O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [iTunesHelper] "E:\Programs\iTunesHelper.exe"
O4 - HKCU\..\Run: [AIM] C:\Program Files\AIM\aim.exe -cnetwait.odl
O4 - HKCU\..\Run: [DellSupport] "C:\Program Files\DellSupport\DSAgnt.exe" /startup
O4 - HKCU\..\Run: [SpybotSD TeaTimer] C:\Program Files\Spybot - Search & Destroy\TeaTimer.exe

Your log is clean.

Turn off system restore by right clicking on My Computer and go to Properties->System Restore and check the box for Turn off System Restore. Click Apply and then OK. Restart your computer and uncheck the same box to enable System Restore.

To help prevent future spyware infections, read the Anti-Spyware Tutorial and use the tools provided.

Are there any problems now? If not, you should be set to go.
