My original post of Feb 5 has been unanswered. A little more info. I know there is an infection because everything loops/locks and one has to resort (most of the time) to hard shut off of computer.
By going to taskmanager I found at least 7 instances of "LUCallBackProxy.exe" . It alone seems to replicate itself. There were other things there as well I was not familiar with.

I have Norton 360 on my computer and have done 2 complete viruse checks. It has done nothing to remove it.
Yesterday I tried the on-line Trend Micro House Call (5hours x 2) and it seemed to make things better ... until turning on the computer today. Same thing. Computer is excessively slow in getting programs to load, no matter what and some just lock on loading. The problem seems to excalate each time the computer is used.
At present I am trying trend-micro again.
