After a Windows update, i lost the ability to browse using IE 7.0 - I can PING, I can connect to my work server using SSH, but everytime I try to browse - I receive an error message that then network is not available or there is a problem with the connection - even though I can access the internet, just not via IE.

Tried to work with IBM/Lenova but they were less that helpful. The computer just recently had a pc tuneup and they could not find out why I could not browse without being in safemode.


Just recently, I booted up in safemode and connect and browse, but in safe mode only.

Any suggestions are greatly appreciated.

Since you said that this problem happened right after doing a windows update I would uninstall that update using add/remove programs in the control panel and see if your problem corrects itself.
