I certainly hope I am posting this in the correct location and will do this properly. If not, please let me know where to post or what I've did wrong.
I have recently started having a pop-up saying that I have been infected with Trojan-Spy.Win32@mx
Of couse they offer to " Sell " me their spyware removal programs at such a great bargain ! I sometimes have another window come up that says I may be infected with Spyware.Cyberlog-X. I dont know if this really is another virus or simply realted to the other.
Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Much of our fix will be done in Safe mode, and you will be unable to access this thread at that time. Please download SmitfraudFix (by S!Ri) to your Desktop.

Next, please reboot your computer in Safe Mode by doing the following :

• Restart your computer
• After hearing your computer beep once during startup, but before the Windows icon appears, tap the F8 key continually;
• Instead of Windows loading as normal, a menu with options should appear;
• Select the first option, to run Windows in Safe Mode, then press "Enter".
• Choose your usual account.

Once in Safe Mode, double-click on SmitfraudFix.exe
Select option #2 - Clean by typing 2 and press "Enter" to delete infected files.

You will be prompted : "Registry cleaning - Do you want to clean the registry ?"; answer "Yes" by typing Y and press "Enter" in order to remove the Desktop background and clean registry keys associated with the infection.

The tool will now check if wininet.dll is infected. You may be prompted to replace the infected file (if found); answer "Yes" by typing Y and press "Enter".

The tool may need to restart your computer to finish the cleaning process; if it doesn't, please restart it into Normal Windows.
A text file will appear onscreen, with results from the cleaning process; please copy/paste the content of that report into your next reply.
The report can also be found at the root of the system drive, usually at C:\rapport.txt

Warning : running option #2 on a non infected computer will remove your Desktop background.



Please download Deckard's System Scanner (DSS) and save it to your Desktop.

Thank you so very much for the information. I did notice that for some reason my operating system is listed as Windows 98 and it shoud be XP. I hope these instructions will work for that program. I will let you know how it works out. Again, thanks so much...............

Fantastic ! That seems to have did the trick. I have been on and offline a couple times now since performing this and am not getting any of the pop ups that I was getting before.
I do however get a " about blank " when logging on. Is there a way that I can fix this ?

Please download Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware from Here or Here

Double Click mbam-setup.exe to install the application.

• Make sure a checkmark is placed next to Update Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware and Launch Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware, then click Finish.
• If an update is found, it will download and install the latest version.
• Once the program has loaded, select "Perform Quick Scan", then click Scan.
• The scan may take some time to finish,so please be patient.
• When the scan is complete, click OK, then Show Results to view the results.
• Make sure that everything is checked, and click Remove Selected.
• When disinfection is completed, a log will open in Notepad and you may be prompted to Restart.(See Extra Note)
• The log is automatically saved by MBAM and can be viewed by clicking the Logs tab in MBAM.
• Copy&Paste the entire report in your next reply.

Extra Note:
If MBAM encounters a file that is difficult to remove,you will be presented with 1 of 2 prompts,click OK to either and let MBAM proceed with the disinfection process,if asked to restart the computer,please do so immediatly.
