2.5" hard drive problem

I have a Fujitsu model MHT2100AH 2.5" hard drive in a slim USB case.
The light comes on, I can hear it turning but XP doesn't recognize it.
It just spins and spins and spins.

Any ideas on what to do?

Is it formatted? (Control Panel -> Adminstrative Tools -> Computer Management -> Disk Management)

It isn't listed anywhere.
It just continues to run; never stops.

Can't do anything until its recognized.

Then it would suggest an issue with that 2.5" drive.
