Hello. I can't log on to my email account. I use Outlook Express and I am on Road Runner. I've noticed at the bottom when it's trying to log on it says:
connecting to hrndva-gtlb.mail.rr.com. I have not noticed this before, but this just happened today. I use Windows XP. Any help? Thanks...

Outlook Express is trying to establish a connection with the mailserver at your ISP, and, for whatever reason, it isn't working. It might be a problem at the ISP, in which case, give them a few hours to correct it. If you can log in to see your email on the web, you can read your mail that way until the problem gets resolved. Not getting an immediate connection from a mailserver does not necessarily mean there is "hacking" involved.

Johanna, I talked with the Road Runner help desk and they said that RR was upgrading our email server. This is the reason for the problem. Again, thanks for your help...

Glad you got an answer from Road Runner. I wonder how many service calls they fielded today because they didn't let their customers know they expected some downtime? Holler back if it doesn't start working when they said you could expect it to.
