Help! Trojan/Hijacker problem

Hello

I am new here, but have been reading your site. Please help me. I have followed the steps in your instructions, have scanned with AVG, Adware Removal, Spyware Doctor, SpyEraser, Avira and now SuperAntiSpyware. I have disabled a couple on reboot, wondering if they were conflicting and adding to my freezeups.

However, nothing is really showing up when I scan, just a few tracking cookies, nothing I can see that would cause these problems.

I posted once before, let me attempt to post again. Not sure why I am not getting a response.

I replaced my hard drive and system after a virus crashed my old system. Everything was fine until i went to restore a few files from a backup of the old drive

Began to get first symtom: IE would start, but immediately attempt to launch a second tab with yahoo. After reading a few logs and advice on this forum, I eliminated the files (using Hijack this) that were causing the problem.

I was able to use IE normally for a few hours, went to shut down, and got a message "other users were using your machine, are you want to shut down and interrupt their session?"

I went to join this site through IE, and encountered a new freeze. Am doing this through firefox/mozilla instead

Finally, when I went to run Hijack This, and get an 'unexpected error' near the start of the log which says:

"An unexpected error occured at procedure "modMain_CheckOtherItem()
Error 70 - Permission denied"

After I say "yes" to send the error to Trend Micro, it gives me the rest of the log, but I find this very strange.

I am also running Bit Comet, which I downloaded yesterday from download.com, and it was managing my downloads, but something odd happened there as well. I was searching for a tool to remove Gromozon, which I wondered was the cause of some problems. However, everytime I clicked on a 'gromozon' tool removal download, bit comet showed the size as '0', and downloaded nothing. I tried this on four different sites, with the same "0" reported

Finally, again, was able to download the tool through Firefox with ease.
