
Help with windows XP! windows take 10 mins or so to load

any help would be greatful thanks. I just need to know what I should do next to stop the slowness of my windows, and be able to download again thanks.

The Dell recovery CD normally supports non-destructive (install over) and destructive install.
Since you ran SFC with no results, your best bet now is to use the CD to do a Repair Install. This will replace XP but leave your data alone.
You will have to reinstall some software, especially anti-virus and firewall. You will also need to do all the Windows Updates again (90+ last time I checked).
Read through the link I posted an see what you think. Post back here with any questions.
