Is it safe to try to do a Windows XP Repair using a CD pre-installed with Service Pack 2 when the installation on the PC only has Service Pack 1?

Thanks!

not suggested...teh SP2 cd would put files in place for SP2 when the SP1 installation doesn't know about SP2 (if any of that make sense)....you'd need to find an SP1 disk to do the repair correctly
