CD F DRIVE

when i go to my computer my cd rw drive(F: drive) doesnt show up. i checked computer management its there and says it works perfectly fine. The cd rw drive is made by compaq and it worked fine the other day ive tred alot stuff. i done have the cd for installing the drive

oh ya and my drive doesnt open or close and is completely offf

I would recomend checking the power cable to the drive by putting it in a drive you know works and if you can get that to run on the power cable on the one that is not working then you most probley have a electrical fault in the drive.
