issues downloading updates from microsoft

I hust got a new IPOD. they tell me i need 7.6 version to run it. i try to download microsoft update or anything from microsoft and the computer tells me it cannot find the server. computer will not let me download anything that has to do with updates or sp2 packs.

Do you get any error messages when you try to download the updates? If so, what do they say?

Have you recently upgraded or reinstalled the operating system?
