Hello,

I have 2 hard disk drives in my notebook (Compaq Presario w/vista), and noticed that 1 of them, D drive(PRESARIO_RP)-recovery files, only has 353 MB free of 6.61 GB. While the C drive, local disk still has plenty of space left. Is this normal?

Also, how often should I perform a disk clean up & defrag? I've only done it for C Drive. Should I, or is it safe to do for my D Drive?

Thanks in advance....

Hello LIHK, and welcome to Geeks To Go.
The "D" drive that you see is the recovery partition.
It is only used for recovery of your Operating System.
If you have not made a set of recovery disc I urge you to do so now.
Your computer documentation should tell you how.
