Hi,

Someone has sent me some photos to my Hotmail account from a Mac, possibly directly from iPhoto (does iPhoto have an email-image-to-friend function?) or at least in iPhoto format, and they will not now open (on my XP computer).

When I click to save them from Hotmail, the file extension that comes up is oddly .hqx but when I've downloaded them they become JPEG files but then they will not open in Photoshop/MS Paint/Windows Picture Viewer. Photoshop says "Could not open xx because a JPEG marker segment length is too short (the file may be truncated or incomplete)". It is not possible to view them in Hotmail either. Any ideas? Are the files themseleves somehow corrupt, or is this a MAC-Windows-via webmail problem? Do I need to decode the files manually from .hqx or something? Thank you very much :)
