active x controls in internet explorer question

can 2 identical active x control java plugins files ssv.dll cause internet explorer problems (java plug in 1.6.0_05)
are there susposed to be 2 of the exact same active x control plug ins in my internet explorer add ons ?
also i have several add on's that are susposed to be from microsoft that are not verified i don't get the option to delete these can i just disable these safely with out it affecting my computer in a bad way?

i'm also getting internet explorer script errors message below

an error has occured in the script on this page

error:invalid character
code:0

do you wish to continue running the script on this page yes or no

how do i fix this problem ? i'm trying to research this now online could this be why every page i try to view has this same yellow icon with the exclamation point in it??
