Hello Team:
My Buddy got infected with a trojan or something the other day, and I do not remember what it was: However, I had him run SUPERANTISPYWARE scan, and had him remove all the bad stuff it found. I ran MBAM Today, and also HJT.

Here are the logs: Is he still infected? I do not know if there is anything else I missed?

I downloaded Combofix and clicked on it, it did not run initially, and I had to shutdown - Now desktop is black - is there a way to restore it back to normal desktop screen?? Then there was siome sort of problem, and I apparently got it to run, then heard a BEEP and it deleted itself - HELP!!! Does Combo work with Vista???

Can you go into safe mode (Tap [F8] during startup)?

If so, try to use system restore to go back a few days and see if that fixes the black screen.

went to system restore and fixed black screen problem: I do not know if the malware that is in the MBAM log will show up again but I am rescanning the system now - Do you want me to try combofix in safe mode??

It appears that Combofix will NOT work with Vista - I believe that there may be a newer version, butr do not know if it works with Vistra, because everywhere I look it says that it does not work with Vista - I will not run combo again until this is solved for vista users :)

Sure can: do we have to run combo as an administrator by RIGHT CLICKING on it when we install it?? That may be what I did wrong??

Same thing: combo will say "combofix.exe" with a short line, then will not open - Is there another tool that we can use that will accomplish what combo would do?

Please download Deckard's System Scanner (DSS) and save it to your Desktop.
  • Close all other windows before proceeding.
  • Double-click on dss.exe and follow the prompts.
  • When it has finished, dss will open two Notepads main.txt and extra.txt -- please copy (CTRL+A and then CTRL+C) and paste (CTRL+V) the contents of main.txt and extra.txt in your next reply.

Go Start > Control Panel > Add/Remove Programs and uninstall Java™ 6 Update 3.

Then find and delete these folders:
C:\327882R2FWJFW
C:\Users\All Users\sdslijyr
C:\Users\All Users\zqsryicj

Please download DAFT and save it to your desktop:
  • Double-click the daft.exe icon.
  • Click on the Scan button.
  • Select everything it is displaying there
  • Click the Fix button.
  • Then rescan with DAFT again - it should say now that "All associations are OK"
  • Close DAFT if you receive that message. This means that it is fixed now.

Then post a new HijackThis log please. :)
