Hi,

I recently re imaged my laptop.

I want to change the display to show 16XX by 12XX like i had before i re imaged the laptop (the display is to big for me). When i go to the settings to change the display is at its highest 1680by1050 but i would like it to be higher.

the graphic card is ATI Mobility Radeon X1400

Do i need a driver update to change the resolution to be higher (16xxby12xx)? i tried to find drivers from ATI and i found 8-3_xp32_dd_59746 but there is no setup in there and i dont know what to do with it.

thanks

RESOLVED - removed the ATI software which made it smaller but still 1680by1050. At least it looks better

1680x1050 is a very high resolution typically found on 22" monitors. Are you sure that at some point you had the ability to run at a higher resolution?
