Hi,
If you guys can help me, I'll jump for joy! I'm running a 1 year old Gateway laptop on Vista Premium (build 6000). I regularly download recommended updates and have McAfee actively running all the time. I run windows defender and Ad-aware 2007 weekly as well. I did have Spybot S&D installed, but it caused more problems than it helped and I got rid of it (getting it completely removed was a task in itself!) I have been banging my head against the wall for the past two weeks trying to rid my system of "something" that has to do with ad.yieldmanager.com. The symptoms I am experiencing are iIn firefox and IE. In Firefox every page is slow to load in addition to somes areas of each page trying to connect with ad.yieldmanager.com and being unable to. When waiting for pages to load, I see processes running at the bottom trying to connect to all sorts of ad sites before I see the site I am going to finally show up. Some pages don't load at all (especially when checking my yahoo mail. ) I get the "page not found, check your connection settings....." In IE I cannot search in Ebay. I get the page not found..and it reverts to my gateway search page telling me alternatives to try to find the ad.yieldmanager.com site. When I check yahoo mail in IE, same thing. Nothing is ever found in any of the scans I run. I routinely clean up cookies and history as well. I'm really particular about keeping my system clean! The good news is that I think my computer prevents any of these ad sites from loading, but something is trying to make the connection anyway. At any rate, I hope I have given you the correct information to help me understand what's going on with my machine! One last thing, I hope the log is correct for Superantispyware. That scan looped for 9 hours! (I followed the directions listed exactly.) All scan results were clean, except for 1 cookie on the superspyware scan. I have attached the following logs, per instructions on the "You must read this first" page of your site. I so much appreciate you taking the time to look it over and hopefully direct me! Thanks again!!!!
Karyn
