I'm a stay at home mom, and I dont really know much about computers.
I hope someone here can help me.
I have an HP with Windows XP.
Lately My computer has been acting very Weird.
So I erased some programs that werent needed like the SBC Self Support Tool.
And everything went back to normal for a while.
The other day, I downloaded the HP Available Updates, And didnt really check what was to be downloaded, other than the WIndows Media Player.
(My Bad?)
After that, The SBC Tool started popping up even though it was erased already.
Also, My computer started giving out random error messages at times such as:
Not enough Quota
This program has failed to initialize properly, Press ok to end task
The application or DLL C:\ WINDOWS\system32\wmp.dll is not a valid Windows image. Please check against your instalation Diskette
Windows Media player Database Corrupted,
& Windows Media Player is not installed properly and must be reinstalled, Do you want to install the player from the microsoft webste?
And when I press yes, It downloads it, But I cant install it.
Although the program still opens at times.
I cant put in CD's or DVD's, to listen to music or watch a movie.
I really cant do anything.
And trying to reach the Help Selection there just opens another error window that just says APP
And some other ones I cant remember.
Like right now when Im typing a message, The text sometimes turrns white and looks like it dissapeared.
But thats not only in the input box, Its also happening on the webste and the submit buttons.
Then it re appears and dissapears in another place.
It happens when programs start up too, So I cant really see what Im selecting and have to guess.
And at one point, I couldnt open any program at all with the error message of "Not enough quota" coming up,
So I pressed ok and then the "Not a valid Windows Image" one popped up.
So Since I couldnt do anything, I just shut it down.
And when I turned it on again, It started working again normally, But after a while, it started happening again.
I've already checked for spyware, viruses and adware, And Im not sure what else to do.
