Well, I got a virus. I ran like 12 scans and it finally found it. I deleted it, but I think I have a spyware. Everytime I open the internet browser (IE), 15 tabs open, displaying HTTP 404, when I got to a site, boxes pops up and say YOU ARE DETECTED FREE SCAN DOWNLOAD THIS!! (i didnt do it), i get alot of pop ups to get me to run a scan (propaganda), my compter is running VERY SLOW, I tried system restore doesnt work. Please help me, I'm desperate.

P.S. I hope this works, and I'm not sure if this is the information you need. :)

Welcome to GTG.

Please print the below instructions or copy them to Notepad. Make sure to work through the fixes in the order mentioned below. If there's anything that you don't understand, ask your question(s) before proceeding with the fixes.

Download ATF Cleaner at http://www.atribune..../click.php?id=1
Double-click ATF-Cleaner.exe to run the program. Under Main choose Select All
Click the Empty Selected button.

If you use the Firefox browser click Firefox at the top and choose Select All
Click the Empty Selected button.
NOTE: If you would like to keep your saved passwords, please click No at the prompt.

If you use the Opera browser click 'Opera' at the top and choose 'Select All'
Click the Empty Selected button.
NOTE: If you would like to keep your saved passwords, please click No at the prompt.

Click Exit on the Main menu to close the program.

Uninstall the following via the Add/Remove Panel (Start->Settings->Control Panel->Add/Remove Programs) if found:

Run a scan in HijackThis. Check each of the following if they still exist and hit 'Fix Checked' after you checked the last one:

Locate the following Files/Folders and delete them if they exist (if no location given, just do a search for them):

C:\Users\Doreen\AppData\Local\Temp\ - delete everything inside this folder

Go to http://www.bleepingc...to-use-combofix and follow the instructions on how to install the Recovery Console and run ComboFix. Go through all the steps until posting the log part. Post the combofix log here.
