Lost Windows XP Key but have disc

I am now running Vista but I'm tired of not being able to run my programs that I want to go back to XP. I have the XP pro disc but I have lost the product key for it, is there a way to recover it?

The disk itself does not contain any product keys.
The keys conform to the results of an algorithm which means you can use any XP Pro OEM CD with any XP Pro OEM licence providing you have such a licence to use in the first place.
If you no longer have your licence, your best bet is to contact Microsoft.
