I'm pretty sure I know the answer but I'll ask anyways.

I have an Asus P4V8X-MX mother board. I recently purchased a SAPPHIRE 100198L Radeon X1650 512MB 128-bit GDDR2 AGP 4X/8X Video Card from newegg.

No where in the item description or product specs did it mention that the mobo needs a pci e slot. I didn't find that out until 30 minutes ago when I received the card.

So I'm pretty sure I can't use this card with this mobo.

If that's the case than I'd like to get some recommendations on which cards are compatible with my mother board.

An AGP card does not require a PCI-E slot. It requires an AGP slot. Your motherboard has an AGP slot. So I'm not quite sure what the problem is...

You don't even need a PCIe slot as your mobo only has AGP slot and the video card you purchased is an AGP one so it should work.
Why did you think its not compatible?
This is your mobo right -> Asus P4V8XMX

Edit: I'm too slow :)
