I just clicked on "spyware support forum" on the Geeks to Go home page and was redirected to this site:

http://www.spywaresu...x.php/Main_Page

It contains adult hotlinks. The Firefox tab states "Main Page - SpywareSupport" but this is patently not the case. I'm going to scan with Spybot, Ad-Aware and the MS scanner but I thought I'd ask if anyone else is experiencing this too.

EDIT: I have performed a HJT scan and it looks clean. Not a single suspicious entry.

It is like this in my browser as well. That page must be compromised. I will bring it to the attention of Blair.

Update:

It's a Wiki, meaning that anyone can edit it. Some bozo edited it to contain a bunch of pornographical links. It has been removed :tazz:

Phew! I thought I might have been hijacked. That was some seriously rapid response, mpfeif101. Respect.
I thought it was strange, because today was the first time I browsed the Wikipedia site and I was also experimenting with the page editing system (didn't think too much of it actually).
So let me get this right please - someone has managed to modify the Geeks hotlink to point to a Wikipedia page or the Geeks site is supposed to link to the Wiki site?
I thought you would use a dedicated forum software, like the one for your Computer Help Forum, no?

Well it's a Wiki system, meaning it was designed so that anyone can contribute and add/edit pages.

I was thinking, why doesn't Geeks give the spyware support a forum like the one you have for your Computer Help Forum? Was wondering that's all - that way, if someone does something like this, then it won't be so prominent, as it's just a post instead of a page. Thanks. :tazz:

No, the Wiki was a side project of mine. I had an idea to create a Wiki detailing various infections, fixes, removal tools, etc. I hadn't actually started yet, and it was left at the default settings, so it was easy to edit. I should have known better. :tazz:

I see. I suppose it might have been easier for users to post edit their advice on a Wiki page. Anyway, thanks for the attention to you both. Sorted guv :tazz:
