I would open my Firefox and when I would enter an address it wouldn't go directly to the address and it would stalled in connecting mode and wouldn't load the page. I cleared the internet history and I deleted temporary internet files and cookies I then rebooted. I downloaded Ad-Aware and in the first scan it detected 109 files that were infected so I proceeded to remove the infected files and then I rebooted. I then downloaded the Windows update and then rebooted. I then downloaded the Avast Antivirus and ran a scan and it showed multiple Win32:TratBHO [Trj] and then I proceeded to delete those files I then rebooted again. I then ran the Ad-Aware again and it showed I had 17 infected files and I proceeded to remove them and I then emptied my recycling bin then rebooted again and then ran the Ad-Aware again and it showed 0 infected files. The computer speed improved but as I opened my internet explorer it still kept opening new tabs without my doing anything and giving different pop-ups in different windows. I then downloaded HijackThis and now this is what I got.... I followed all the directions and now I need help.

One or more of the identified infections is a backdoor Trojan.
Backdoor Trojans, IRCBots and Infostealers are very dangerous because they provide a means of accessing a computer system that bypasses security mechanisms and steal sensitive information like passwords, personal and financial data which they send back to the hacker. Remote attackers use backdoor Trojans as part of an exploit to to gain unauthorized access to a computer and take control of it without your knowledge.

If your computer was used for online banking, has credit card information or other sensitive data on it, you should immediately disconnect from the Internet until your system is cleaned.
All passwords should be changed immediately to include those used for banking, email, eBay and forums. You should consider them to be compromised. They should be changed by using a different computer and not the infected one. If not, an attacker may get the new passwords and transaction information. Banking and credit card institutions should be notified of the possible security breach.

Although the backdoor Trojan has been identified and may be removed, your PC has likely been compromised and there is no way to be sure the computer can ever be trusted again.
It is dangerous and incorrect to assume that because the backdoor Trojan has been removed the computer is now secure.
Many experts in the security community believe that once infected with this type of malware, the best course of action is to reformat and reinstall the OS - "When should I re-format?".

Should you decide not to follow that advice, we will do our best to help clean the computer of any infections but we cannot guarantee it to be trustworthy or that the removal will be successful. If you wish to proceed, please follow the "REMOVAL INSTRUCIONS", bellow.

Before we begin i see that you have 2 anti-virus running, this is not a good idea as they can conflict with each other and can also slow your PC down.Please remove one of the anti-virus, these are the 2 i see you have running.
Avast and Mcafee
If you need any help removing 1 please let me know.

STEP 1
Download SDFix and save it to your Desktop.

Double click SDFix.exe and it will extract the files to %systemdrive%
(Drive that contains the Windows Directory, typically C:\SDFix)

Please then reboot your computer in Safe Mode by doing the following :
  • Restart your computer
  • After hearing your computer beep once during startup, but before the Windows icon appears, tap the F8 key continually;
  • Instead of Windows loading as normal, the Advanced Options Menu should appear;
  • Select the first option, to run Windows in Safe Mode, then press Enter.
  • Choose your usual account.
  • Open the extracted SDFix folder and double click RunThis.bat to start the script.
  • Type Y to begin the cleanup process.
  • It will remove any Trojan Services and Registry Entries that it finds then prompt you to press any key to Reboot.
  • Press any Key and it will restart the PC.
  • When the PC restarts the Fixtool will run again and complete the removal process then display Finished, press any key to end the script and load your desktop icons.
  • Once the desktop icons load the SDFix report will open on screen and also save into the SDFix folder as Report.txt
    (Report.txt will also be copied to Clipboard ready for posting back on the forum).
  • Finally paste the contents of the Report.txt back on the forum with a new HijackThis log
STEP 2
Please download SmitfraudFix (by S!Ri) to your Desktop.

Double-click SmitfraudFix.exe
Select option #1 - Search by typing 1 and press "Enter"; a text file will appear, which lists infected files (if present).
Please copy/paste the content of that report into your next reply.

**If the tool fails to launch from the Desktop, please move SmitfraudFix.exe directly to the root of the system drive (usually C:), and launch from there.


Note : process.exe is detected by some antivirus programs (AntiVir, Dr.Web, Kaspersky) as a "RiskTool"; it is not a virus, but a program used to stop system processes. Antivirus programs cannot distinguish between "good" and "malicious" use of such programs, therefore they may alert the user.

STEP 3
Please download Deckard's System Scanner (DSS) and save it to your Desktop.
  • Close all other windows before proceeding.
  • Double-click on dss.exe and follow the prompts.
  • When it has finished, dss will open two Notepads main.txt and extra.txt -- please copy (CTRL+A and then CTRL+C) and paste (CTRL+V) the contents of main.txt and extra.txt in your next reply.
