Hi there friends...

New here and love the site!

Ok.....I have just downloaded Defender on a XP system. I ran the FULL scan and it found 14 trojans amongst others. I clicked on the button saying remove and the computer turns off/restarts. This has happened twice and is so frustrating after a 3 hour scan! I then tried running MRT and it found 0 infections. I have such a slow system, try to do something about it and this happens.

I look forward to your help.

Thanks everyone,
Chris

Please go to the malware forum and follow the instructions at the top....Especially the CLICK HERE.

That will give you several steps that will help you clean up 70 percent of all problems by yourself. If at the end of the process you are still having difficulty--and you may not be-- then post a hijackthis log in THAT forum.

If you are still having problems after getting a clean bill of health from the malware expert, please return to this thread.
