I have recently been having some major problems with my computer and I was hoping that someone here could help me out. I have tried everything that I could from the post about posting hijackthis logs. I could not run an online virus scan as it would not let me. Here is my hijackthis log and the malewarebyte's log. I would really appreciate it if someone could help me out. I have also ran Spybot S&D, Adaware SE, AVG Anti-virus and AVG Anti-Spyware. Some of my problems have gone away, but some are still around. For example, when the computer would sit idle for a minute little bugs would appear on the screen and "eat" my desktop. As soon as I moved the mouse everything went back to normal. That is not happening now, but I am still getting redirected to websites when I use the internet and things like that. I would really appreciate any help at all.
Thank you for you time.

I forgot to mention that when I try to run Malewarebyte's for some reason it keeps trying to load HP Memory Disk Software. I don't know if that has anything to do with this or not, but I thought I should mention that. I have to cancel it several times before it goes away and Malewarebyte's opens.
Thanks again for taking the time to read this.

MBAM seems to have cleared a great deal - so lets go look for the rest :)

Please re-open HiJackThis and scan. Check the boxes next to all the entries listed below.

O2 - BHO: (no name) - {B625BB74-18E6-4B32-ABC6-ABBC83F83404} - c:\windows\system32\omlfoml.dll
O2 - BHO: (no name) - {BDE8C35D-2B54-4A18-B737-912E618EE37C} - c:\windows\system32\qhsaaqcq.dll (file missing)
O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [obcxubst] regsvr32 /u "C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\obcxubst.dll"
O16 - DPF: {03A89EFD-E023-5707-A22D-45F77558EB4C} (ILINCInstall73 Class) - http://ilinc.whvcorp...ad/iLinci75.dll
O20 - Winlogon Notify: audfjouq - C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\omlfoml.dll

Now close all windows other than HiJackThis, then click Fix Checked. Close HiJackThis.

THEN

Please download the OTMoveIt2 by OldTimer.
  • Save it to your desktop.
  • Please double-click OTMoveIt2.exe to run it.
  • Copy the file paths below to the clipboard by highlighting ALL of them and pressing CTRL + C (or, after highlighting, right-click and choose Copy):

    c:\windows\system32\omlfoml.dll
    c:\windows\system32\qhsaaqcq.dll
    C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\obcxubst.dll
    Purity
  • Return to OTMoveIt2, right click in the "Paste List of Files/Folders to be Moved" window (under the yellow bar) and choose Paste.
  • Click the red Moveit! button.
  • Copy everything in the Results window (under the green bar) to the clipboard by highlighting ALL of them and pressing CTRL + C (or, after highlighting, right-click and choose copy), and paste it in your next reply.
  • Close OTMoveIt2
If a file or folder cannot be moved immediately you may be asked to reboot the machine to finish the move process. If you are asked to reboot the machine choose Yes.

FINALLY FOR NOW

Download OTScanit to your Desktop and double-click on it to extract the files. It will create a folder named OTScanIt on your desktop.
  • Close ALL OTHER PROGRAMS.
  • Open the OTScanit folder and double-click on OTScanit.exe to start the program.
  • Check the box that says Scan All User Accounts
  • Check the Radio buttons for Files/Folders Created Within 90 Days and Files/Folders Modified Within 90 Days
  • Under Additional Scans check the following:
    • Reg - BotCheck
    • Reg - Desktop Components
    • File - Additional Folder Scans
    • File - Purity Scan
  • Now click the Run Scan button on the toolbar.
  • Let it run unhindered until it finishes.
  • When the scan is complete Notepad will open with the report file loaded in it.
  • Click the Format menu and make sure that Wordwrap is not checked. If it is then click on it to uncheck it.
Please attach the log in your next post.

To attach a file, do the following:
  • Click Add Reply
  • Under the reply panel is the Attachments Panel
  • Browse for the attachment file you want to upload, then click the green Upload button
  • Once it has uploaded, click the Manage Current Attachments drop down box
  • Click on Posted Image to insert the attachment into your post

Attached File  moveitlog.txt   217bytes   119 downloadsAttached File  OTScanIt.Txt   352.37KB   115 downloads

Thank you so much for helping me with this problem. I really appreciate it. Here are the logs that you asked for. I keep getting the same message on OT Move It. I have rebooted and went through the process several times, but it still tells me that the file is scheduled to be removed on reboot.

AVG is still finding a problem with omlfoml.dll. I thought I should mention that to you. I had to disable AVG to do the OT Move It because it kept finding a problem with that file in the middle of the process and OT Move It would lock up and not finish what it was doing.

Thank you again for taking the time to help me with this problem.

The fix should only take a very short time. When the fix is completed a message box will popup telling you that it is finished. Click the Ok button and Notepad will open with a log of actions taken during the fix. Post that information back here along with a new Hijackthis log.

I will review the information when it comes back in.

Also let me know of any problems you encountered performing the steps above or any continuing problems you are still having with the computer.

NEXT

Please download ComboFix from Here or Here to your Desktop.

How long should the fix take for OTScanit? I waited for 2 hours and it still hadn't done anything. Should I just go on to the next step or try the fix again?

Here is the log from combo fix and a new hijackthis log. AVG is still finding Trojan horse Downloader.Obfuskated and the path is C:\\Windows\System32\khkvevb.exe I don't know if you need to know that or not. Most of the time it pops open when I access the internet. It has done it at other times, but not often. I also still have the problem opening malewarebyte's, it tries to open other programs when I try to run that program. I surfed the web for a minute and did not get redirected to other websites like I had been though. :) So something good is coming out of this.

We now have another infection that has showed itself

Please download FixWareout from here:
http://downloads.sub.../Fixwareout.exe

Save it to your desktop and run it. Click Next, then Install, make sure "Run fixit" is checked and click Finish.
The fix will begin; follow the prompts. If your firewall gives an alert, (because this tool will download an additional file from the internet), please don't let your firewall block it, but allow it instead.
Then you will be asked to reboot your computer; please do so. Your system may take longer than usual to load; this is normal.
Once the desktop loads please post the text that will open (report.txt) and a new Hijackthis log

PRIOR TO POSTING

Please re-open HiJackThis and scan. Check the boxes next to all the entries listed below.

O2 - BHO: (no name) - {B625BB74-18E6-4B32-ABC6-ABBC83F83404} - c:\windows\system32\omlfoml.dll

Now close all windows other than HiJackThis, then click Fix Checked. Close HiJackThis.

FINALLY FOR NOW

1. Please open Notepad
  • Click Start , then Run
  • Type notepad .exe in the Run Box.

Here are all of the logs. Thank you so much for taking the time to do this.
I wonder where the new problem came from. I haven't downloaded or installed anything new. Strange. Must be my luck. :)

Nearly done - one more run with combofix should clear it

C:\WINDOWS\mainms.vpi
C:\WINDOWS\muotr.so
C:\WINDOWS\megavid.cdt
C:\WINDOWS\njqzpir.sys

Folder::
C:\WINDOWS\mgwwgmke

3. Then in the text file go to FILE > SAVE AS and in the dropdown box select SAVE AS TYPE to ALL FILES

Sorry this took so long for me to do. I haven't been able to be on the computer much lately, but when I have it seems to be running okay right now. I still have that problem with MBAM. When I try to run that program it tries to open the HP Memories disk. I have to cancel it 4 or 5 times before it will open MBAM. I'm not sure what that's all about. Other than that, I haven't been redirected to different websites when I browse the net or anything like that. Hopefully everything is gone. :) MBAM didn't find anything and so far today AVG hasn't found anything either.

Well that looks good now - I cannot figure out the MBAM trying to open HP disk :)

But if you have no further problems ..........................

Now the best part of the day ----- Your log now appears clean :)

Double click OTScanit once again and you should see a CleanUp! button, press that button, you may get prompted by your firewall that OTScanit wants to contact the internet, allow this, a cleanup.txt will be downloaded, a message dialog will ask you if you want to proceed with the cleanup process, click Yes. This will delete all the tools you have downloaded plus itself. MBAM can be removed via control panel

Now to get you off to a good start we will re-set your restore points so that all the bad stuff is gone for good. Then if you need to restore at some stage you will be clean. There are several ways to reset your your restore point but this is my method:

1. Select Start > All Programs > Accessories > System tools > System Restore.
2. On the dialogue box that appears select Create a Restore Point
3. Click NEXT
4. Enter a name e.g. Clean
5. Click CREATE

You now have a clean restore point, to get rid of the bad ones:

1. Select Start > All Programs > Accessories > System tools > Disk Cleanup.
2. In the Drop down box that appears select your main drive e.g. C
3. Click OK
4. The System will do some calculation and the display a dialogue box with TABS
5. Select the More Options Tab.
6. At the bottom will be a system restore box with a CLEANUP button click this
7. Accept the Warning and select OK again, the program will close and you are done

Now that you are clean, to help protect your computer in the future I recommend that you get the following free program: It is critical to have both a firewall and anti virus to protect your system and to keep them updated.

To keep your operating system up to date visit

To learn more about how to protect yourself while on the internet read this article by Tony Klien: So how did I get infected in the first place?

Keep safe :)
