D drive unrecognizable...PLEASE HELP!

remove the drive thru add/remove hardware, and then add it again with the hardware wizard. if that doesnt work, remove the drive again, then reboot. this should allow it to detect.
if it is still showing up as disabled, that means there is a conflict with with another device or a piece of software. have you added anything lately?
I took a quick trip thru the dell forums, and all they say after the above advice is to contact dell.
