I just got a TP-Link Router, TD-8840. I cannot get it to work. It wont connect me to the net and i cant log in to the router to set it up.

I try log into it and it just says "Cannot Connect with Server" I have made sure the username and password is correct. And i used my old router and the net works fine

Can anyone help ?

Looking at it on the web it seems to be an ADSL modem/router.

I try log into it

If you mean the device, What password and user name are you using? Is this at the router interface?

Usually the default login for Routers (if you have not Changed it) is

Username: Admin
Password: password

Hope this helps
