Hi guys. I have a new Gateway M1625 notebook running Vista that seems to only recognize 1 out of every 3 DVDs. These are store bought, not burned. I get the message that there is no disk in the drive. I hear it spin up, click twice and than the message instructing to load a cd/dvd. Any advice you could offer would be great. Thanks for your time.

Defective drive by the sounds of it. Have it checked out under your warranty/guarantee.
