Hi I'm helping out a friend who's asked me to help her with her itunes and limewire but I found when I turned on the computer and went on the net that it was full of adware and spyware, I think that I got some of the garbage but some things just wouldn't delete so I'm hoping that someone can help me fix it. here is the log. thank you so much...shannon

  • Close all other windows before proceeding.
  • Double-click on dss.exe and follow the prompts.
  • When it has finished, dss will open two Notepads main.txt and extra.txt -- please copy (CTRL+A and then CTRL+C) and paste (CTRL+V) the contents of main.txt and extra.txt in your next reply.

Please download DAFT and save it to your desktop:
  • Double-click the daft.exe icon.
  • Click on the Scan button.
  • Select everything it is displaying there
  • Click the Fix button.
  • Then rescan with DAFT again - it should say now that "All associations are OK"
  • Close DAFT if you receive that message. This means that it is fixed now.

  • Copy the file paths below to the clipboard by highlighting ALL of them and pressing CTRL + C (or, after highlighting, right-click and choose Copy):

  • OTMoveit2 will create a log of moved files in the C:\_OTMoveIt\MovedFiles folder. The log's name will appear as the date and time it was created, with the format mmddyyyy_hhmmss.log. Open this log in Notepad and post its contents in your next reply.
  • Close OTMoveIt2
If a file or folder cannot be moved immediately you may be asked to reboot the machine to finish the move process. If you are asked to reboot the machine choose Yes.

Please go to Start > Run> then copy\paste this in "%userprofile%\desktop\dss.exe" /config then hit ok.
Place a check next to everything and click on ok or scan.
Post those logs please.

Open up OTMove it and Paste this file name in the Box on the left.

I have no idea what we are doing but everything is running alot better than what it was i'm not getting the pop ups anymore but when I did the OTMoveit the SweetIMtoolbar popped up but i clicked the red x to close it. Here are the two logs
