This problem began as of today. Earlier this morning I attempted to install VistaOSX application that would give me the OSX look. But afterwards, I did not want it and attempted to uninstall. That did not work. So I just restored my default theme. Unfortunately, the boot screen still had the apple sign. I'm referring to the glowing orbit, right after the boot bar. I've tried to look for the solution to that problem and I was able to get it back by changing "authui.dll". Once I restarted the computer, and wanted to change the desktop icons, I began to get this error. I would go to Personalization --> Change desktop icons and this error would appear: Windows host process (Rundll32) has stopped working. Then I tried to open the other options available and for Display Settings, Theme and Screen Saver, I would get the same error.
I've already tried msconfig, and disabled startup applications and nothing did the trick.
I would appreciate any help that I can get.
