I have nvidia 8400, 2 GB RAM, 1.5 G dual core intel, Vista
I installed call of duty 4. First time it ran properly at that time i didn't installed DirectX 9.0c
But after restarting my computer it showed me error of DirectX stated that I have to install 9.0c
so I uninstalled game and reinstalled with 9.0c but still it shows me the same error.

"DirectX encountered an unrecoverable error please read help me for possible solution"

can any 1 help me ??

go to http://microsoft.com/directx and install the latest version. It will update direct x to the latest version (which is newer than what came with cod4).

I updated from microsoft site to latest DirectX version but still it gives me same error.
I don't know what to do? I am dyin to play the game.

try going to HP.com and updating your geforce driver (video card) and see if that helps.

I downloaded new crack exe file of game from torrent and game worked.......

I'm sorry, it is policy here at geekstogo that we do no assist with any kind of warez, p2p, or otherwise illegeally obtained software. I'm glad your working, but at this point I am closing this thread.
