I have a new computer with no floppy drive and a old... Well useless(dosnt work, to many errors, and worthless to fix) computer with one in it. I was thinking of taking it out, painting the outsid(just the front for looks) and then put it in a new computer

Old computer: Compaq
New computer: HP pavilion

Will it even be compatible? Pleasehelp :tazz:

Yea it will work but I don't know if there will be a cage to mount it in, some newer dell's that don't have the floppy have no cage to mount it in because of the goofy way they mount the hard drive. But other then that it is compatible.

I think I have the same computer as you! but I'd just rather use a flashdrive (you can pick one up at about 40 bucks) I THINK you can, but i'm not going to open up my computer to find out.
