Am I really infected with Comet Cursor?

Hi All,

A few days ago I switched on my laptop and was warned that Comet.Cursor was found (Norton AV 2007). Norton said it had removed it and that I had to reboot. I rebooted and another scan immediately repeated the same warning! It appears that CometCursor was not removed. I went through this a couple more times before giving up!
I have searched the internet and found a couple of other people reporting the same thing in the last few days. I have installed two free spyware/adware tools, but none pick up any issues with Comet Cursor. I do not have Comet Cursor in my add/remove program list. I do not appear to have any referece to it at all, yet Norton keeps telling me it has removed it and that I need to reboot!
Finally (I know it's naughty to do this), I told Norton to ignore Comet Cursor.

My question is three-fold.

Do I really have CC on my PC?
Is the problem with Norton (perhaps it did fix the problem the first time, but has somehow got itself in a loop!!)?
Any ideas how I can get Norton to continue checking for CC (assuming someone can help me with the first two points above).
