Ok, so here is what happened; IE 7 has been working fine for me all this time but all of a sudden today when I turned on my computer and tried to use IE 7 it would not open any web page no matter what it was, ( it just kept coming back with " Internet Explorer cannot display the web page".
SOME OF THE THINGS I TRIED:
1. I contacted my ISP and they tried everything they could think of but could not get IE to work. My ISP also tested all my connections and settings and there is nothing whatsoever wrong with my internet connection.
2. I also went ahead and ran the "repair windows", option via my Win XP disk, and the process completed but not even that helped.
3. I also tried uninstalling IE 7 hot fixes that I recently installed, but still nothing.
4. Another thing I tried was the system restore option, but no matter which date I chose, (when it was done it's process), it would tell me that my system could not be restored to that date.
The real kicker here is that I have another computer in the house and IE 7 works fine on it !! PLEASE HELP AS I AM ABOUT TO PULL OUT ALL OF MY HAIR
