Nope... Can't read Html and Java that well.
If the problem is in the coding, then your office webmaster must be the one fixing it.
But like you said, it only happens on your system so most probably it isn't in the page.

Did you try my last post?

hey there, sorry that i couldn't respond sooner, i was trying to fix this with them, but didn't work, they insisted that it's my firewall when it was obvious that it cant be (i have this firewall forever and i always worked for them with this computer). Cut a long story short, I downloaded Opera and that one opens it!!! So i'm happy that i found a solution (just today). Other than that, the computer is faster, the only thing that still takes a while is that once when it seems like the desktop is uploaded, it's still doing something. Superspyware does not run in the start up anymore... But other than that, everything seems fine :-) Thanks for all your help!

Hey MysteryMaster,

Nice to hear from you again.
Sounds like a mystery to me. heh.

I want to try something with your Firefox browser if would like to continue.
I'm not sure if this would work but no harm in trying. Just one last attempt.

Let me know.

Hey,

Let's try and see.

First,

  • Right click ResetProtocolDefaults.reg then select "Save Link As" or "Save Target As".
  • Save file in your Desktop
  • Double click on ResetProtocolDefaults.reg
  • On prompt, select Yes.

Next,

Open Notepad.
Copy and paste text in codebox below
Type filename as fix.reg then Set Filetype to "all files"
Save to your Desktop then click Save.

REGEDIT4

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Internet Settings\ZoneMap\Domains\comcastnets.com\portal]
"file"=dword:00000002
"ftp"=dword:00000002
"http"=dword:00000002
"https"=dword:00000002

[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Internet Settings\ZoneMap\Domains\comcastnets.com\portal]
"file"=dword:00000002
"ftp"=dword:00000002
"http"=dword:00000002
"https"=dword:00000002

"ProxyByPass"=dword:00000001
"UNCAsIntranet"=dword:00000001

[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Internet Settings\ZoneMap]

"IntranetName"=dword:00000001
"ProxyByPass"=dword:00000001
"UNCAsIntranet"=dword:00000001

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Internet Settings\ZoneMap\Domains\eonline.com\authoring]
"file"=dword:00000001
"ftp"=dword:00000001

[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Internet Settings\ZoneMap\Domains\eonline.com\authoring]
"file"=dword:00000001
"ftp"=dword:00000001
"http"=dword:00000001
"https"=dword:00000001

Doubleclick on fix.reg
Press Y to to merge it with your registry.

Then for Mozilla,

click on Install ChromEdit plus here.
Note: Browser may block site, just click on allow. Firefox restart is required.

Once installed Click on Tools >> ChromEdit Plus >> ChromEdit
Go to user.js tab then copy/paste text in code below

user_pref("capability.policy.policynames", "localfilelinks");
user_pref("capability.policy.localfilelinks.sites", "https://portal.comcastnets.com http://authoring.eonline.com");
user_pref("capability.policy.localfilelinks.checkloaduri.enabled", "allAccess");

Next, click Save then Restart.

Finally, for added protection, get

  • SpywareBlaster to help prevent spyware from installing in the first place.
  • IESpy-Ad to block access to malicious websites so you cannot be redirected to them from an infected site or email.
  • MVPS Hosts file replaces your current HOSTS file with one containing well know ad sites etc.

Let me know if it helped.
