Hi all,

i have a hp compaq machine. The details are as follows:

Serial Number CZC7100LY1
Product Number RZ072ES
Product Description dc7700S/PD-945/80hnw/512L/4k ALL

yes it is HP Compaq DC7700s smal form factor machine.

i know the spare part number of the machine. the problem is how will i know the the bios system on the motherboard. is it AMI OR PHOENIX. or other. there must be definitely some way to find out. i cannot find. i need your help.

the real problem is there is no display to the machien and i am getting 4 beeps contineous. i mean 4 beeps contineous and slight puase for 10 seconds and then again 4 beeps. it is continuing. what could be the problem.

from google you can know beep codes but it depends on the bios systems of the system board. so i want to know the bios system of the above machine.

HELP ME AS YOU ARE ALWAYS DOING.

thanks

Look the model number up on the HP site, the BIOS you need is on there. Please don't use anybody else's BIOS as it will most certainly not work.

Anyway, if the computer's beeping at you, you have more serious issues. Have you tried swapping the graphics out?

Here's the website link for documentation. I would certainly get some of the manuals for it.

I just looked at the beep codes in the manual, 4 beeps was power supply overloaded, check the connections.
