I have modified the existing Headings styles to show index numbers. (There are no precedding dots. These are here to make it display correctly herein the forum.)
1 My text
....1.1 My text
.........1.1.1 My text
The problem is if I modify the formatting in at any indenture level all of the headings revert back to left justified. For example if I were to modify Heading 4 to be indexed I would end up with this.
1 My text
1.1 My text
1.1.1 My text My text

Then I have to go back and reformat every Heading level to restore my indenture. What is the correct way to set up indentured headings so this does not happen?
