Rorschach112 advised me to post here as a follow up to a problem that was discovered in the process of removing some malware from my PC, which we did successfully.

The exact place the problem started in the process of removal can be found starting at this point in the thread where he was helping me with my malware problem:

He advised me to uninstall the JRE and reinstall it after we finished the malware removal, but it didn't work. When I try to remove it, the Windows Installer prepares to remove it, then aborts with the error message ""Error Applying Transformations. Verify that the specified transformation paths are valid."

What should I do?
