I googled EVERY SINGLE item in my HJT log but couldn't find any anomalies...Please look this over as soon as you can...the "Dr. Postmortem" is keeping me from watching my downloaded lectures (curiously, I started getting the said error almost immediately after my last downloaded lecture--.wma format, never had that issue with previous lectures)...and I need to get homework done by Tuesday Much Appreciated!

Did you install any new updates recently before this problem began? This should solve the problem:

Go to My Computer->Tools->Folder Option->View and check 'Show hidden files and folders' and uncheck 'Hide protected operating system files'. Go to your c: drive. Right click on the boot.ini file and go to Properties. Uncheck the box that says Read-only and click OK. Then double click on the boot.ini file to open it. Change the line that says /NoExecute=OptIn and change it to /NoExecute=AlwaysOff. Now save the file and close it.
