IE explorer and msn messanger does not work

I have a laptop, a compaq presario with windows Xp. I have internet explorer 6.0 with sp2 and netscape navigator version 8.0

The thing is, my internet worked perfectly likle 2 months ago then all of a sudden it stopped working. The only browser I am able to use right now is Netscape Navigator. I tried to download firefox as an alternative but again, it will not open up.

When i try to open up Internet Explorer, i get page cannot be displayed, same thing for firefox when i open it up. Does anyone know why this is happening and why I am not able to use Internet Explorer or Firefox, but i am able to use Navigator.

Also, my live messanger will not work.
