Alright, here are the components I believe I have narrowed down to on my PC build. I already have a processor, and I’m going to stick with my 500w power supply until the time comes to upgrade for SLI in a year or two.

Motherboard:

Graphics:

Memory:
can’t decide between

or
http://www.newegg.co...N82E16820145197

Need to have a case that will cool well in case I decide to SLI in the future, and I'm looking to stay under $100

I’m having a hard time deciding between these 4. I have always had cooler master in the past, but I want a case that is stylish and durable and I am having a hard time finding cooler masters that do both. So I am venturing into other brands that I have no experience with.

Case: I have it narrowed down to 4 (I hope, if you recommend something outside of this I’ll take a look)

All Comments are appreciated so I have some diverse opinions. Thanks!

Hi,

Sorry to disappoint you but your power supply will definitely not have enough juice for that build. I advise either upgrading the power supply or downgrading the Video Card that you listed.

Soorena

EDIT: As for the case I recommend the first or the last one, for quality and flexibility. I had a Raidmax case and it was made of cheap material and barely had any room.

If I was going to upgrade the power supply, I would prefer something that would be able to power two of those graphics cards in SLI. So what power supplies would you guys recommend for that? I don't see a reason to upgrade a psu twice.

Hi there,

In addition to what SOORENA has suggested, I would suggest grabbing the OCZ RAM over the Corsair. There's no way these two can compete at those prices.

I would say definitely the Antec 900, or some others to consider would be the Cooler Master 690, or I'm liking the new Thermaltake M9.

Running two of those 9800GTX in SLI would be a wicked system now, but in a year or two would be outdated, so this route is definitely not recommended. Also you'd need to consider that these graphics cards would be bottlenecked by your CPU - what exact processor do you have?

Cheers

I understand the bottle necking issue. I'm not sure off the top of my head what the cpu is. I currently have a dual core 4400+, and my Dad was going to give me his current processor, so it is better than that. I believe its atleast 4800+. I know that will bottleneck it a bit, but I'm just doing one stage of the upgrade now, and another in about a year, even though in a year it will be outdated, thats why I won't do it until the prices come down.

I like that Thermaltake you suggested, but I'm a little bothered by no side or top fan, and just vents. Especially if I had a 1000ish psu and 2 9800GTXs running in it, am I overreacting?

Newegg just threw up this nice deal on a psu, what do you think of this one
