Hi and welcome to the forums.

The first thing I need you to do is check and see if a file is present, and if so upload it for evaluation.

Please do a search for the following file(s):
Start > Search > All Files And Folders
Under More Advanced Options, make sure the following are checked:
*Search system folders
*Search hidden files and folders
*Search subfolders
Then copy and paste the following(one at a time) in the search box:

WIKI.dll

If found take a note of the location and please go to http://virusscan.jotti.org, click on Browse, and upload the file for analysis. Allow the file to be scanned, and then please copy and paste the results here for me to see.

If Jotti is too busy you can try these.

http://www.kaspersky...anforvirus.html
http://www.virustota.../en/indexf.html

If you cannot find the file just let me know that also.

OK you can go ahead and delete those files and fix the line in HJT.

First I need you to temporarily disable Spybot's TeaTimer as it could block the fix.

Disabling Spybot Teatimer v1.5

  • If you have version 1.5, right click the Spybot Icon in the system tray near the clock (looks like a blue/white calendar with a padlock symbol).
  • Click once on Resident Protection, then right click the Spybot icon again and make sure Resident Protection is now Unchecked. The Spybot icon in the System tray should now be now colorless.
  • Go to Start > All Programs > Spybot - Search & Destroy > Spybot Search & Destroy.
  • Click on Mode > Advanced Mode. When it prompts you, click Yes.
  • On the left hand side, click on Tools.
  • Check (tick) this box if it is not yet ticked: Resident.
  • You will notice that Resident is now added under Tools. Click on Resident.
  • Uncheck (untick) this box: Resident "TeaTimer" (Protection of over-all system settings) active.
  • Exit Spybot Search & Destroy.
  • Restart your computer for the changes to take effect.

Disabling Spybot Teatimer v1.4

  • If you have version 1.4, go to Start > All Programs > Spybot - Search & Destroy > Spybot Search & Destroy.

Run HijackThis. Click Do a System Scan Only. Put a Check in the box on the left side on this:

O20 - AppInit_DLLs: WIKI.DLL

Then close all windows except HijackThis and press Fix checked.

Let's get a better look...

Please download Deckard's System Scanner (DSS) and save it to your Desktop.
  • Close all other windows before proceeding.
  • Double-click on dss.exe and follow the prompts.
  • When it has finished, dss will open two Notepads main.txt and extra.txt -- please copy (CTRL+A and then CTRL+C) and paste (CTRL+V) the contents of main.txt and extra.txt in your next reply.

Well another bad entry showed up there, let's deal with that.

Run HijackThis. Click Do a System Scan Only. Put a Check in the box on the left side on this:

O4 - HKCU\..\Run: [bjpzfsfmi] c:\documents and settings\joyce garrett\local settings\application data\bjpzfsfmi.exe bjpzfsfmi

Then close all windows except HijackThis and press Fix checked.

Download the Killbox.
Unzip it to the desktop

Double-click Killbox.exe to run it.

Select "Delete on Reboot".
Place the following line (complete path) in bold in the "Full Path of File to Delete" box in Killbox:

c:\documents and settings\joyce garrett\local settings\application data\bjpzfsfmi.exe

Click the red-and-white "Delete File" button. Click "Yes" at the Delete on Reboot prompt.
If your computer does not restart automatically, please restart it manually.

Post a new HJT log and let me know if you're still seeing pop ups.

Strange, the file;
O4 - HKCU\..\Run: [bjpzfsfmi] c:\documents and settings\joyce garrett\local settings\application data\bjpzfsfmi.exe bjpzfsfmi

has now gone when doing the hijackthis scan, that was before id d/l 'killbox', so im not quite sure how thats happened?! But for now im not getting any pop-ups although i was getting the odd ten minutes once a week before when they'd stop, but hopefully if that files now vanished maybe that could have done it??

Just to clarify that is not a file, it's a registry loading point. Did you fix it with HJT? And, you should still run Killbox on the file as advised to make sure it's gone.

Let's do another scan also.

Please do an online scan with Kaspersky WebScanner

You need to use Internet Explorer for this scan.

Click on Kaspersky Online Scanner and click Accept

You will be prompted to install an ActiveX component from Kaspersky, Click Yes.
  • The program will launch and then begin downloading the latest definition files:
  • Once the files have been downloaded click on NEXT
  • Now click on Scan Settings
  • In the scan settings make that the following are selected:
    • Scan using the following Anti-Virus database:
    Extended (if available otherwise Standard)
    • Scan Options:
    Scan Archives
    Scan Mail Bases
  • Click OK
  • Now under select a target to scan:Select My Computer
  • This will program will start and scan your system.
  • The scan will take a while so be patient and let it run.
  • Once the scan is complete it will display if your system has been infected.
    • Now click on the Save as Text button:
  • Save the file to your desktop.
  • Copy and paste that information in your next post.

Also, let's run Deckards again and post that log. Let me know how you're making out with the pop ups too.

I need you to rename HijackThis.

  • Please go to the folder where you saved Hijackthis.exe:
  • Right-click on it, then select Rename.
  • Name it something like: hiding.exe (or whatever you want) - Just make sure to keep the .exe part.
  • Then double-click the renamed HJT to scan and then post the new logfile.
