Problem with Updating Virus Definitions

I've downloaded a few anti-virus and also the Malwarebyte's Anti-Malware on my computer. Everytime I try to update the definitions, it keeps saying that it cannot connect to the internet. I'm using a wireless connection. I've checked my firewall. I originally use Kaspersky Internet Security and it works everytime I update the virus definitions. Why isn't it working for the others? Can someone help me. I'm trying to follow the instructions to post a highjack This log so I can wipe out the Virus: IM-Worm.win32.pykse.m from my computer.
