I am curious id it is possible to update my graphics card on my Dell vostro 1500

When I purchased it I had the choice between 8400mGS 128 ram and 8600M GT 256 ram. I went the cheaper way. I can buy the 8600 gt from dell for around 200.00. I would prefer not to get it in the bum on that deal and I am wondering if there are any other options.

On a laptop, graphics are not upgradable. If you want a card to do something you have to order it at the time, you cannot add it on later.

thank you for the reply Neil,
I have spoken with Dell support and the assure me that my video card is upgradable. If I can get my hands on 8600m GT it will not invalidate my warrenty.
I can get one from dell for about 200.00.
I am looking for some sort of "junk yard" for laptops that I can purchase a 8600m gt that was installed in a a broken laptop
