Computer Game freezing when trying to play

I have a computer game that i REALLY want to play. Nancy Drew Computer Games. But, whenever I have successfully installed the game, I get an error message every time. It says, InitDirectDraw(), SetDisplayMode(), DDERR_UNSUPPORTED- Action not supported. Any idea how to fix this problem?? Any help will greatly be appreciated.

do you know what your video card is ? Sounds like you either need to update your video card drive or that your video card isn't sufficient to play the game.

Run dxdiag from start/run and then click on the display tab to view your graphics card info.
