We posted at the same time....(see time)...never looked back

First,
Chaster those are not spyware programs....they are nvidia videocard controls.

Please, if you are going to help, please join the staff and take some lessons, because that is not helping.

I see you have Nortons internet security suite loaded....and sp2

I have not encountered this problem with norton, but I have seen it with Mcafee.

Was Norton installed first,or after sp2?

Norton was installed first.

Actually, my machine was an ME machine when I bought it. The sequence of events was like this:

WinME (OEM)
Loaded Norton
Loaded WinXP Home
Uninstalled, then reinstalled Norton
Installed SP2, and all other critical updates.

Hope this helps.

Norton Antivirus 2003 uninstalled, and rebooted.

HiddenFaxWindow didn't show up, but the Explorer.exe one did.

Be back this afternoon to check on developments.

Thank you again.

Here you go. BTW, when I shut down the computer, both windows popped up like before.

Thank you again.

I still see some Norton Running...get rid of it all.

(just temp)...in the one Mcafee issue I ran into, removing everything and then reinstalling it cleared everything up.

I'd like to put AVG on my computer. I feel real nervous not having virus protection active. Would you recommend I wait for the time being?

Thanks,
M.
