why does my dvd drawer on my computer close by itself?

i press the button to open it to put in the dvd and it automactically closes by it self . i'm taking a chance of one of my dvd's getting caught in the door how can i fix this issue and whats causing it i've already blowed all the dust out but it still does it any suggestions?? :)

Computer is Compaq Presario S6000CL

2800+ AMD ANTHLON XP PROCESSOR
512 mb(DDR SDRAM memory)
80 GB (ultra dma hard drive
Cd- rw drive 48x24x48x max speed
Dvd -rom drive 16 x max speed

The problem drive is the dvd rom drive

In some cases, you can open the drive and check the open/close switch; it may have become dirty, so clean it.
Also clean the lens if possible.
