i am working on a project which demands the linking of a programing language with the database. i know C/C++ and a bit php and going through java(just started). I have better control over C/C++. i would appreciate if anyone would be kind enough to give me some API or library files( or their links online) for the same( with examples if possible). I work on C/C++ using Turbo C++ compiler and bloodshed's Dev C++ compiler. If someone has worked using database connectivity with C/C++ please help me out. i would also like to know how comfortable it is going to be if i use C/C++.

I would love to hear advises regarding which language would be better in terms of integration of project later on, comfort level( easily understandable/learnable) . i have worked on the algorithm( assuming C/C++ lang to be used) so far and now need to finalize the language.

thanks in advance.

I usually use MySQL which (you probably know) is a server oriented db.
There's a MySQL API for C++ available at http://mysqlcppapi.sourceforge.net/
A sample project which shows how to use it can be found at http://www.codeproje.../mysqlwrap.aspx

Hope that helps.
